S.E.Willis is a piano player, singer, accordionist and harmonica man.  Boogie Woogie, Blues, Zydeco, Country music, Americana are all part of his musical mix.  Willis has been performing since 1969 and is going strong still, with shows that are a mixture of original and classic material. A first-class performer, singer, pianist, Willis has been a member of the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame since 1996 and received a Blues Foundation Award in 2015.

Willis started playing rock and roll bands along Arizona's stretch of Route 66 in 1967, before moving full time into Flagstaff's blues scene. In 1978 he relocated to San Francisco, where he spent five years immersed in the city's blues, funk, and rockabilly circuit, opening for Jerry Lee Lewis, Gatemouth Brown, Jerry Garcia, and Clifton Chenier along the way. He returned to Flagstaff in 1982 and started the still running Monday blues jam at Charley's Pub and Grill in 1983, a tradition now in its fifth decade.

Since 2000, Willis has held a featured role in the Elvin Bishop Band, contributing accordion, piano, and harmonica to releases including the 2014 album Can't Even Do Wrong Right. His resume beyond Bishop's band includes stints supporting Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Albert King, Jimmy Rogers, and Roy Gaines, along with three years working alongside New Orleans drumming legend Joseph Zigaboo Modeliste of The Meters. He also sang tenor with the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir and appears on their 1995 release We've Come a Mighty Long Way.

Across a recording career spanning original and classic material, Willis has released seven albums under his own name, including Airn Beats Nairn, Luckiest Man Alive, Cold Hand in Mine, Taproot, Pass the Hat, Turtle Dove Bounce, and Too Much Love. Whether performing solo piano or leading a full boogie-woogie band, Willis is widely regarded as one of the finest players working in the traditional blues piano style today, and continues to bring Flagstaff blues, boogie-woogie, and Americana music to stages across the country.
